Please feel free to use our contact form to ask a question or alternatively call our friendly team on 07557051732 for a confidential conversation regarding your treatment queries
Does lip enhancement hurt?
We apply a prescription-strength numbing cream prior to your treatment which makes the treatment very tolerable. The dermal fillers used also contain a local anaesthetic which also makes it a more comfortable experience.
What are the side effects?
As with any injectable there are minimal side effects which we expect to last 24-48 hours post treatment. You may experience tenderness, bruising and swelling. This will be discussed at your appointment and you will be provided with post procedure aftercare instructions after your appointment.
When booking lip enhancement, how much filler do I need to book in for?
We will advise you of this at your appointment. As a general rule for your very first treatment we recommend up to 1 ml as a good starting point.
If you are looking for definition of the lip of maintenance of an exisiting lip treatment, then 0.5 ml or 0.7 ml is usually adequate.
Who will be performing my treatments?
All our staff who deliver injectables are medically trained and insured and regulated health care professionals. We are all independent prescribers.
What happens at my appointment?
You will receive a full consultation with your appointed medical practitioner. They will discuss all risks, side effects, benefits of treatment and what to expect, together with a treatment plan. Your concerns will be listened too, addressed and discussed thoroughly. For a dermal filler treatment in a sensitive area ie lips, a topical numbing cream will be applied to make your treatment more comfortable.
What can you tell me about lip enhancement?
Lip augmentation is a procedure that aims to increase lip volume using a dermal filler. If you are considering lip enhancement it is important to find an appropriate registered medical professional who cannot only look after you during your treatment but also provide appropriate aftercare should you require it.
After your consultation with your practitioner, the lips are initially numbed and the treatment is carried out using our signature techniques. Our aesthetics clinic is very well known for our natural results delivered by safe and comfortable practice. All risks/side effects are discussed in full at your appointment.
Will I look fake?
We take pride in creating very natural looking results. Whether you are looking for a very subtle change or more noticeable volume, this can still be achieved whilst keeping it natural.
What fillers do you use?
We do stock all premium fillers such as Juvederm, Teosyal which we will only purchase from reputable aesthetics pharmacies. We tailor filler to your desired outcome and what we can achieve with your anatomy in mind so we are firm believers one brand of filler does not suit all.
How long do fillers last?
This can be dependent upon many factors.
The lips and mouth area are metabolically very active so are likely to break down faster. Usually with the lip and peri-oral area, once you have reached your desired results (typically 1-2 treatments) the results should last you on average 9 months.
Cheeks/nose/chin/jawline can last longer as the filler used is thicker and the area of placement does not move quite as much as the mouth. Typically, in these areas, filler can last 9-18 months on average. This is dependent on the individual being treated.
Do I need to book a separate consultation prior to any treatments?
If you are considering Botox then it is a requirement to have a face to face consultation with your practitioner who will prescribe the treatment for you.
For dermal fillers you do not need to book a separate consultation as this is factored into your appointment. We take pride in delivering a thorough consultation prior to any treatment and it forms a large part of your appointment time.
We do understand if you prefer to book a separate consultation first, should you be uncertain about having treatment or simply want to ask questions prior to undertaking any treatment.
How much down time is there to dermal fillers?
As with any injection you can expect a possible side effect of temporary redness at the injection site, bruising and swelling. These are very common and expected side effects which usually subside within 24-48 hours of treatment. More rare side effects/risks are discussed at your appointment prior to undertaking treatment.
How does the non-surgical rhinoplasty work?
The non-surgical rhinoplasty has become very popular over recent years. By carefully injecting dermal filler above and below the bump on the nose we can aim to straighten it. We can also utilise the filler for a hooked nose to straighten it and create a tip on a droopy nose. It is not a permanent solution and we expect treatment to last around 9-12 months on average and it can be carried out in one appointment with very little downtime. It is essential you choose a medically trained practitioner due to the complex vasculature and anatomy of the nose.
