The Botox nasal spray stands out as a safer, more effective alternative to the steroid hayfever injections and is administered through a minimally invasive nasal spray giving an average relief period of 3 months.  Toxin is commonly used to help relax facial lines and wrinkles, but in this treatment the toxin is sprayed into the nasal passages using a mucosal atomisation device (nasal aerosol).  The toxin works by blocking the conduction of nerve signals in the nasal passage, which triggers the onset of hay fever symptoms.

This treatment should only be considered if you suffer with severe hay fever symptoms and you have tried all available medication with little or no improvement.

Adjunctive therapies (eye drops, nasal sprays and oral antihistamine tablets) can safely be used if required.
